Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation West Bloomfield

Robert J. Elwell

Clinical Psychologist, MA LLP
Founder of the Neuro Performance Centers & Foundation.

My professional life has been consistently focused on serving people in need and the reason I founded the Neuro Performance Centers and the Neuro Performance Foundation. After obtaining my Bachelors degree from Michigan State University, I initially worked in the Governor’s office in Lansing. I then decided to exercise my entrepreneurial spirit and transitioned into helping guide economically challenged families to find better housing solutions by developing low cost single family homes and developing large tracts of vacant and abandoned land. This work of helping families led me to desire doing work even more impactful, which led to my returning to school and obtaining my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology.

Over the many years since graduation, I have focused my work extensively with Trauma, pursuing certifications for utilizing cutting edge mind, body, and brain treatments like Neurofeedback, EMDR, Brainspotting and now with TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation): a neuromodulation treatment for medication resistant Major Depression. I also spent two years in an inpatient hospital developing my identification, understanding and treatment skills in a wide range of mental disorders under the guidance of some of the best psychiatrists before turning again to private practice and still utilizing Dr. Doug Callan, PhD., as a trusted supervisor and mentor.

I help people actively pursue their overall mental and physical health goals, through active awareness, life coaching, and the utilization of multiple, integrated therapeutic approaches. My unique business background, training and skills relates to a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds, helping them learn to regulate their emotional lives and improve their relationships.

Zain Choudhry

Licensed Psychiatrist, MD

Hello, I’m Dr. Zain Choudhry, a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, mania, psychosis, PTSD, panic, OCD, ADHD, substance use, and insomnia. Originally from Grosse Ile, Michigan, I developed a passion for mental health during my studies at the University of Michigan, where I majored in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Sciences. After earning my medical degree in 2018, I completed my residency in Detroit, gaining experience with diverse patient populations. Since then, I’ve focused on providing compassionate care in outpatient mental health clinics, tailoring treatment to individual needs. When not working, I enjoy tennis, basketball, staying active, and relaxing with music and movies. I’m dedicated to creating a supportive environment for my patients and look forward to continuing this meaningful work.
